Better World Project
Helping Hands

The Better World Project is the capstone to the Advanced and Executive leadership development programs and courses. It provides members with the opportunity to apply what they've learned in real-world situations to create positive change. My Better World Project I focused on Mental Health and how it can cause a gap between the people in our communities, the solution simple educate them. The NSLS Better World Project offers many benefits some of the key advantages are Leadership Development, Networking Opportunities, and Community Engagement. The Better World Project encourages personal growth by challenging participants to step outside their comfort zones and take on new responsibilities. This can lead to increased self-confidence, resilience, and a broader perspective on the world.

Mission
The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is a leadership honor society that focuses on building leaders who make a better world. The mission is to help people discover and achieve their goals, and in doing so, create positive and lasting change. The Better World Project emphasizes the importance of social responsibility and making a positive impact on the community and the world. 

Vision

My vision was to bridge that gap between those who suffered from mental illnesses and those who looked down on them and judged them based on their mental illness. I wanted them to support and aid each other rather than judging the people with these mental illnesses and possibly making it worse.

In Conclusion

Explain whether the project met the original goal. The project did meet my original goals and then some. Not only did I do what I set out to do I got to see the results and outcome of my project in action. What were the implications or impacts of your Better World Project? I educated the willing participants of the mental illnesses and struggles that other people have in their community in hopes that instead of judging each other all the time, they would help each other instead. I was lucky enough to see the impact with my own eyes as someone that had no mental illnesses at all helped a fellow member of there community who does struggle with these illnesses. Provide a brief summary of project takeaways. My takeaways from this project are that people tend to judge and glare at things they don’t fully understand. If you can find a way to keep it interesting well still having it be informative, the community (most of them) are willing to help each other. The real gap in our community isn’t the problems we face as individuals it’s the lack of knowledge, communication, and know how to do anything about it.
